Not-So-Much-a-Failure

Alas and alack,
I have already failed one of my week's beauty goals (prodding at my skin).
I only did it because I woke up with an alarming amount of bumps that sprung up in the night. I wonder if I am allergic to my new friend, the Garnier BB cream. Good gracious, I hope not.  I'm really crushing on that stuff. 
But I have kept my other 2 goals--using my face mask and doing sprakly nails! Hoorah!
Going out to a paaaaah-ty (as my Boston friend would say) tomorrow night and then to the bar(s). I am quite excited to get out in the cold fresh night air after the beast of a week I have had! My ass just isn't built for sitting still for 8 hours straight for 5 days in a row.  I can FEEL myself getting fatter and the only one that enjoys that feeling is..well.. I can't think of anything clever to say here because the lack of blood flow in my stagnant body is destroying my thoughts!!
Anyway-------tomorrow night is exciting because it gives me an excuse to get dolled up for the first time since New Year's in Vegas!
I am going to rock the skinny jean and flats look, something I have not attempted before (I am behind the times I know, but better late than never and I don't really see this trent going out of style, well, ever.).

The picture on the left isn't very good, is it? Particularly because those shoes could almost be heels, the way she is posing in them. Oh well..
When I Googled "nude flats" it warned me that my SafeSearch settings were not such that I could view the content. So I turned SafeSearch off (damn piece of crap) and was peeking through my eyelids tentatively, wary of seeing some naked woman with a really flat chest (what else would it come up with??) but it was just nude flat shoes. Like what I wanted. Thanks for freaking me out SafeSearch. Though now I kind of want to peruse through some of the resulting images and see..
ok, yup, definitely some porn in there!! And most of it seems to be ballerina themed. How lovely!

For eye makeup I want to try my hand (again) at the basic smokey look with a bit of shimmer. It is tricky to pull off without wearing a lot of makeup and I don't want to look like I'm trying to hard (which seems to require the most work of all, doesn't it?). I will be using my faithful Bobbi Brown eyeliner pot!
I love this little baby.
